The Western Bulldogs have been handed a $5000 fine for failing to provide updated whereabouts of a senior-listed player over the Christmas break, according to AFL.com.au.

According to the AFL's drug testing code with ASADA, clubs must provide correct up-to-date information about a player's whereabouts at all times, for drug testing purposes.

Half of the fine has been suspended for 12 months, meaning the Dogs will need to pay just $2500 for the infringement.

A number of clubs have been fined in the past for similar indiscretions, with Hawthorn, West Coast, Geelong, Collingwood, Essendon, St Kilda and the Dogs all copping similar fines in 2016.
