Just days after reportedly rejecting a behavioural clause-laden contract to remain at Collingwood, highly-publicised free agent Jordan De Goey is said to have pivoted again, instead agreeing to terms with the Magpies.

As first reported by 7News' Andrew McCormack, the tattooed 26-year-old has rejected a nigh-on seven-figure salary on offer from St Kilda to stay on at the AIA Centre for the next five seasons.
“7 News understands Jordan De Goey has re-signed with Collingwood,” McCormack said on Channel 7.

“The Pies star was weighing up a free agency deal, with St Kilda chasing the 26-year-old.

“But De Goey has signed a long-term deal to stay at the Magpies.”

Following a stellar September, one which saw the Woods fall shy of a Cinderalla grand final appearance by a singular point, Collingwood upped their offer to De Goey, raising their agreement from four seasons to five.

Yet, with a litany of behavioural clauses strewn throughout the contract, one of which is reported to relate to Collingwood being granted the ability to part ways with the hybrid threat on their terms, De Goey failed to ink said deal.

It is not yet known whether the recent inked contract had been amended following the standoff between star and club across the past pair of days.
