Speaking at Richmond's Jack Dyer Medal last night, coach Damien Hardwick spoke about the possibility of Jack Higgins making a shock-early return next season.

Hardwick flagged last night that former Goal of the Year Winner, Jack Higgins may be available for Round 1 of the 2020 season.

Higgins sustained a brain bleed in July during a VFL game and therefore underwent an operation as recent as two weeks ago.

“To a young man named Jack Higgins, who had a significant injury like you would not believe, for him to make the time and effort to come down to see our playing group on Thursday, merely a week after his operation, was simply inspirational,” Hardwick said.

Hardwick attributed the energy group of the recent premiers to the presence of Higgins at last week's Thursday training session.

“I can’t wait to get you back mate, and look forward to seeing you round one next year.”
