A massive year for Essendon with the coaching department receiving a full makeover, including welcoming Mark McVeigh as its new coach.

John Longmire and Craig Vozzo will help form a new-look general manager position, which is split into two.

Western Bulldogs duo Brent Prismall and Daniel Pratt were lured to Tullamarine, while former Bomber Paul Thomas will once again be at the club.

Brad Scott left midway alongside Ben Jacobs and Cam Roberts. Dean Solomon, after a tumultuous year as a board member to assistant to caretaker coach, has decided to step away from Essendon.
