Carlton will be without one of their brightest young stars in forward Charlie Curnow for this weekend's away clash with the Crows, after he rolled his ankle at training on Tuesday.

Curnow underwent scans on his ankle and while they confirmed the injury was not serious, he will not travel to Adelaide to play the Crows this weekend.

The Blues have had a shocking run of injuries this year, with Sam Docherty, skipper Marc Murphy and Matthew Kreuzer the most notable of their absences.

Kreuzer is expected to line-up for the Blues this weekend, who are still searching for their first win of the season.
