Adelaide star Izak Rankine's poor run with fitness has continued with the club confirming he sustained a calf injury during Thursday night's match against Hawthorn.
The 26-year-old had scans on his calf which revealed he has a moderate strain, with his timeline for return not yet known.
Rankine's injury occurred in the third quarter of the match, with the Crows giving their gun midfield-forward plenty of run throughs on the sidelines before he was ruled out of the game.
Adelaide forward Callum Ah Chee has been cleared of a fractured hand after he was also sent for scans.
Ah Chee left the ground in the third term, but returned to the match and kicked a goal in the fourth quarter of the nine-point loss.
Adelaide general manager of high performance Ian McKeown said the length of Rankine's stint on the sidelines is not yet clear.
“Both Cal and Izak will be assessed further at the club in the coming days,” McKeown said.
“Following that, we will have a clearer understanding of timelines for both."
