Gold Coast have been forced into a late change to their Round 8 squad, with a hamstring injury ruling in-form forward Ben Long out of Sunday's QClash with Brisbane.
The Suns confirmed the alteration to their side on Saturday, with Long making way for veteran David Swallow due to the injury concern.
The extent of the setback is yet to be confirmed by the club.
Long has been one of Damien Hardwick's best in 2025, booting 14 goals in six games from averages of 12.0 disposals and 5.2 marks per game.

The late squad change is the only switch to the side that defeated Sydney last week, with Hardwick initially naming the same squad for Sunday night's affair against state rival Brisbane.
Swallow wasn't named as an emergency when the Suns finalised their extended squad on Friday, with the inaugural Gold Coast player coming straight int the starting side.
Gold Coast have Brayden Fiorini, Ned Moyle and Sam Clohesy on standby as emergencies.
The Suns and Lions will lock in their final sides an hour prior to the 7:20pm (AEST) bounce on Sunday night.
