Gold Coast captain Noah Anderson has shot down reports of a culture issue at the Suns.

Addressing media on Tuesday, Anderson admitted there was “frustration” but provided a plausible explanation given the club has dropped outside the top 10 and has a big fight on its hands to reach Wildcard Round after a promising start to the year had many tipping them to rise into the top four.

“I saw reports there was a disconnect between the playing group and the coaches but I thought it was inaccurate,” Anderson told media on Tuesday.

“I think there's frustration and in any workplace or sporting club around the world, if you're falling short of expectation, there's going to be frustration and we work through that, we spoke about it. And I feel like as a club, we're on such a good (path) and we're really aligned to move forward”

The reports come as Ben King headlines a group of players which also includes Bailey Humphrey, Joel Jeffrey, Jed Walter.

Anderson did not believe that noise was impacting the squad.

“Every captain and leadership group around the competition will attest to this is all part of the experience,” Anderson said.

“We need to grow as a group and understand they're still really committed to the club for this year and that's all we can handle and to my role as captain, like I said last year to (Matt Rowell), make this a place they want to stay.”

The Suns have a huge clash against Collingwood at People's First Stadium on Friday night.
