Western Bulldog Buku Khamis has responded to questions regarding where the 26-year-old key defender will ply his trade next season, with his contract expiring at year's end.
The Bulldogs' Next Generation Academy graduate has, at the conclusion of Round 18, already equalled his high watermark for games in a given season, playing a role in all 17 of his side's matches this season.
That was the driving factor behind the South Sudan-born Khamis exploring the market last off-season, and after another catch up with the still-interested Carlton football club, he was quizzed on his future plans.
"Last year I wanted to play more AFL footy, and I feel like I've been able to achieve that this year, playing most games," Khamis said on SEN.

"At the moment I just want to keep seeing that out, and playing good footy as well - that's the most important thing for the footy club, so that's what I'm focused on."
A deal to cross from the Whitten Oval to IKON Park infamously fell through in the dying embers of last year's trade period, but Khamis would not be tempted into addressing conjecture that he'll bay for the same move, at the end of this season.
"I definitely love the Western Bulldogs - I love playing my footy here at the Western Bulldogs. I've obviously been here eight years, Next Gen Academy (graduate) as well, so I have a lot of love for the boys, and the coaches. I'm really happy with how things are going at the moment."
One such coach is Daniel Pratt - a man earmarked by many in the industry as a senior coach in waiting.
Khamis threw his support behind "Pratty", speaking highly of his line coach.

"We all love “Pratty”, he's a great coach, and a great person as well," Khamis said.
"I feel like he's very approachable and has a lot of time for everyone, I can't speak highly enough of him."
Khamis' attention will now turn to his side's Round 19 road trip. The Suns and their array of key forwards await the Western Jets product, who has, at times, struggled against the competition's premier spearheads this season.
