Beloved Western Bulldogs goalsneak Arty Jones has told teammates and staff that he will remain in the club's red, white and blue for three more years, per afl.com.au's Cal Twomey.
The Bulldogs shape as major players in the player movement space this off-season, with Jones' re-commitment just one of many irons the club has in the proverbial fire.
Out of contract and being courted by the reigning premiers as a potential Zac Bailey replacement, should he exercise his free agency rights, Jones' impending signature is a vote of confidence in the club's direction, and in Luke Beveridge, despite pundits speculating over the long-tenured coach's future in recent days.
Essendon were also believed to be interested in procuring the 23-year-old, while ties to his home state of Western Australia also fuelled rumours the two western seaboard clubs could come hard for the emerging talent.

Pick 43 in the 2021 National Draft, Jones did not play in 2022, and managed 13 games in 2023. Injury and form issues across 2024 and 2025 prohibited Jones from getting a proper run at things in the top flight, before he broke through for 20 appearances in 2026. Notably, he seized his moments in the club's recent, historic Wildcard Round victory, booting four goals as the side held on to defeat Collingwood.
Jones had been left frustrated by the one-year extension afforded him by the club at last season's conclusion, after seeking two years. Betting on himself and his performances this season has netted him a contract surely more pleasing to the Jones camp.
