Scott Pendlebury on Saturday will run out in the black and white vertical stripes for the 431st time and will move within just one match of joining Brent 'Boomer' Harvey as the record holder for most games played in VFL/AFL history.
Pendlebury debuted way back in Round 10 2006 and he's played with and against some of the all-time greats.
Speaking ahead of Thursday night's Round 7 opener between the Bulldogs and Swans at Marvel Stadium on Thursday night, the 38-year-old was asked by Triple M to list his Top 5 opponents.
1Dustin Martin
"I don't think there was anyone better to play against when they were in full flight than Dustin Martin. The way Richmond played, the pressure, that game style, which is what a lot of sides try to emulate now… when he got the ball in the 2017-2021 period, you couldn't tackle him, he'd kick lace-out chisslers to the forwards, kick goals from anywhere. I loved when he would strut down to full-forward and the person playing playing on him just knew he was going to get out-marked or have a goal kicked on him. That aura, we haven't seen in a long time."
