Harry Morrison has penned a new two-year deal to remain a Hawk, committed to the club until at least the end of 2024.

The young Hawk had a career best campaign in 2022, playing 22 matches throughout the season as he became a regular fixture in Sam Mitchell's developing side, averaging 19.2 disposals, 5.8 marks and 2.8 tackles per game.

The 23-year-old was drafted with pick 74 in the 2016 national draft, making his debut in the final round the following year. The wingman has played 78 games in his career thus far, the most consistent run of game time, and form, coming under the new leadership of senior coach Mitchell.

Hawthorn's List and Recruiting Manager Mark McKenzie said the club was happy to see the young gun sign on, crediting Hawthorn's development and culture.

“Harry’s decision to commit to Hawthorn highlights the positive culture that has been built across the club,” McKenzie said.

“We are really pleased to see the progress Harry has made in his six years at the club.

“This season he played a prominent role on the wing, and at only 23 years of age, we feel his best footy is still in front of him.

“Harry has expressed a desire for future success, and this deal is a testament to the trajectory of our club and the foundations being laid with among our exciting young group.”
