Port Adelaide will be without captain Travis Boak for its clash with Brisbane in round six.

Boak will miss the Saturday night match at the Gabba due to a hamstring injury.

The 28-year-old left the field early in the Power's big win over Carlton on Friday night and sat with ice on his left hamstring for much of the match.

The club said the skipper would not be risked, even if scan results showed a only a minor strain.

“We don’t think its too bad; Travis could have continued but we decided to keep him off the ground as a precaution,” head of football development Aaron Greaves told radio station FIVEaa on Sunday.

“But we will take no risk.”

Boak will break a streak of 63 consecutive games.
