Geelong forward Gryan Miers has undergone a medical with the West Coast Eagles as the cellar-dwelling club ramp up their interest in the mercurial Cat.

AFL Media are reporting the Eagles' interest in Miers has seen the 27-year-old follow through with the medical despite wanting to remain with the Cats, in case a move transpires while he is enjoying end-of-season travels, abroad.

It is the latest development in the Eagles' courting of the crafty playmaker, which was first reported on Thursday.

Miers has infamously played on a partially torn ACL after opting against traditional, surgical intervention when first sustaining the injury, making the Eagles' medical investigations that much more pertinent.

Miers, and Demons duo Jack Viney and Trent Rivers are the names most prominently underlined on West Coast's trade period wish list.

The Grovedale product has managed 120 goals from 172 goals in the hoops, and it is still his preference to remain in the Cats' storied guernsey, as opposed to relocating to the western seaboard.
