Delisted North Melbourne midfielder Jed Anderson has officially joined his third club, with the Gold Coast Suns confirming the signing of the onballer through the Supplemental Selection Period.
Anderson was not offered a new deal by the Roos for 2023, seeing his career games tally stranded on 99 matches from his 10 years in the system.
The 28-year-old first joined the league with Hawthorn, where he played 10 games in three seasons before switching to North Melbourne ahead of the 2016 season.
Anderson would play 89 games in seven years at Arden Street before seeing his time in the blue and white come to an end.
The Katherine product now firms as a live chance to reach the 100-game milestone in 2023, with the Suns confirming his signature on Wednesday morning.
“After a successful Trade & Draft period, we felt it was important to complement our list with some experience, and Jed offers that with 10 years in the AFL," Suns player talent general manager Craig Cameron said in a club statement.
“Jed can play as a tough inside midfielder but also has the skillset to play forward which we found appealing.
“We're excited by what Jed can bring to our group and look forward to seeing him in action throughout pre-season.”
Anderson joins the likes of Ben Long and Tom Berry in heading to the Suns this off-season, with the pair having moved from St Kilda and Brisbane respectively.
The Suns also added former Docker Connor Blakely and ex-Giant Jake Stein through the Rookie Draft last week, while Gold Coast recruited Gippsland midfielder Bailey Humprhey with Pick 6 in the National Draft.
The SSP signing window will run until February 15, with the Suns still having one other list spot vacant for 2023.
Former Port Adelaide forward Boyd Woodcock, Frankston forward Brodie McLaughlin and Academy graduate Brinn Little are said to be training with the Suns this pre-season.
