Both Sydney and GWS have denied they are chasing Richmond star, Dustin Martin.
Reports emerged last week that one of the clubs in Sydney were interested in luring the Tigers' star north, with Tim Watson telling SEN that "there is an attraction that he (Martin) has towards a side north of the border”.
However, Swans coach John Longmire says the club has made no plans to sign Martin.
“We traditionally don’t comment on any other players from other clubs, particularly list management as it’s not our go, but I must have missed that meeting,” Longmire told SEN.
Meanwhile Greater Western Sydney CEO Dave Matthew also denied any contact with Martin's management.
“I haven’t had any discussions with our list management group about Dustin Martin,” Matthews said.
“I don’t know whether they are contemplating anything at all, but we’re focused on what we’ve been focused on for most of the year. We’ve got some players out of contract who are pretty important to us and our main priority is to just to try extend those guys.
“We’re not sitting around thinking a lot about Dustin Martin, we’re thinking about how to we extend Josh Kelly, how do we extend Jacob Hopper, what are our needs at the end of the year from a trade point of view?"
GWS made a play for Martin the last time he was out of contract, in 2013, when toured the club's facilities, before eventually re-signing with the Tigers.
Richmond has reportedly recently raised its offer to Martin to $1 million per season over six years.
