The GWS Giants appear set to name an unchanged line-up for Friday night's preliminary final against Collingwood, with in-form ruckman Kieren Briggs set to shake off a shoulder complaint.

Briggs, 23, has been in scintillating form throughout 2023, locking down the stoppage role in Adam Kingsley's side and seeing himself rated as the league's second-best ruckman heading into the season's penultimate weekend, behind only All-Australian Tim English.

Yet, after sustaining a shoulder injury during the second half of the Giants' semi-final win over Port Adelaide last Saturday, doubts were cast over whether Briggs would be right to face the Pies.

However, as reported by the club on Tuesday evening, after the big man was able to finish off the victory at the Adelaide Oval, he has been passed fit to play this weekend.

At present, GWS' injury list is comprised of just five names: Max Gruzewski (foot), Cooper Hamilton (foot), Leek Aleer (toe), Darcy Jones (knee) and Adam Kennedy (knee), with each already ruled out of duty for the season.

This clean bill of health is set to provide Kingsley with the ability to run back the same 23 that knocked off Port.

The Giants and Pies are set to do battle before a sold-out MCG on Friday night. The opening bounce of the do-or-die clash is scheduled for 7:50pm (AEST).
