Greater Western Sydney has re-signed ruckman Dawson Simpson and forward Daniel Lloyd on the eve of the finals series.

Lloyd, 25, has signed a two-year contract extension which will see him remain at the club until 2019, while Simpson, 28, has re-signed until the end of next season.

"Daniel and Dawson have both played important roles for us this year and we’re thrilled to have them put pen to paper," Giants football manager Wayne Campbell told the club's website.

"Both have unique stories in how they've got to this stage and have shown terrific resilience and dedication over the years.

"The playing group has bought into the direction we're heading as a club and the re-signing of Daniel and Dawson is a strong endorsement of this."

Lloyd has played seven games after being selected as a mature aged recruit with pick No.26 in the 2015 Rookie Draft.

Simpson has played two games for the Giants after moving from Geelong at the end of 2015 as an unrestricted free agent, where he played 28 matches.
