Geelong have named five potential new faces for their opening NAB Challenge match against Collingwood at Simonds Stadium on Friday night.

The squad, which will cut from 29 to 26 on the night of the match, includes recruits Patrick Dangerfield, Lachie Henderson and Zac Smith, as well as draftees Sam Mengola and Tom Ruggles have also been named.

James Aish is in line to make his first appearances for the Pies, but former Giant Adam Treloar is still sidelined after undergoing groin surgery before joining the Pies in the off-season.
