Geelong will wear a one off country inspired guernsey for its clash with Essendon this Saturday afternoon.

Geelong will wear the guernsey in the inaugural ‘Country Game’, which will be played between the Cats and the Bombers to pay tribute to the nation’s rural community.

The bottom of the jumper features a fence which represents livestock farming and dairy farming, one of the cornerstones of the region.

The middle hoop celebrates the wool industry, and the top hoop celebrates the wine industry.

The side of the jumper represents the wheat industry in the South-West region.
