Our Rookie Rankings are still welcoming fresh faces with less than a month left in the home and away season, with a Cats rookie breaking into our top eight for the first time in 2024.
Round 21's changes have seen a mature-aged Geelong recruit enter our rankings while a Lions forward jumps two spots following a strong Sunday outing.
Another Cat headlines the chasing pack with three rounds remaining as he and a Suns midfielder stand a chance to snatch a spot before the season concludes.
Selection Criteria:ย For ourย Rookie Rankings, we are ONLY selecting players who have made their debut this season.
Other players who may still be eligible for a Rising Star nomination but have already made their debut before the 2024 season will not be considered. I.e. Rising Star eligible players such as George Wardlaw, Angus Sheldrick and Sam Darcyย are ineligible, having already played anย AFL match before Round 1, 2024.ย
Honourable Mentions:
Archie Roberts (Essendon)
Will Graham (Gold Coast)
Seth Campbell (Richmond)
Darcy Jones (GWS)
7. Harvey Thomas (-1)
A quieter game by Thomas' standards as he struggled to get involved in the narrow win over the Hawks as key forward Jesse Hogan and captain Toby Greene booted eight of the Giants' 12 goals in Canberra.
Thomas was kept to just the five disposals for the afternoon as Hawthorn's small defenders managed to quell the Giants' ground-level threats for most of the match.

The performance sees Thomas slide one position in our rankings after Round 21, with a crucial contest against Brisbane to come this weekend for the New South Wales side.
