Geelong and Tyson Stengle have mutually agreed to part ways after 93 games under Chris Scott.
Geelong released a statement on Friday afternoon confirming the news after speculation that his future was clouded.
It comes after a season plagued by personal issues which has kept him off the field. He has not featured for Geelong since last year's grand final.
Stengle was a formidable part of the 2022 premiership side, winning an All Australian blazer in that year.
“Thank you so much to the Geelong Footy Club," Stengle said.
"In particular, to my teammates, the coaching staff, the support staff and most importantly to the fans.
"Your unwavering and loyal support through the great times and the tough times has meant more to me than you will ever know. I am deeply grateful, and look forward to supporting the club as a fan.”

The 27-year-old finishes his career with 109 games across three clubs.
“We would like to congratulate Tyson on what he has achieved over his career, including his time at Geelong. To play over 100 games, earn All Australian selection and be part of a Premiership team are achievements we are proud to have shared with him," Cats footy boss Andrew Mackie said.
“Tyson has shown tremendous resilience during his time at Geelong, and we believe now is the right time for both Tyson and the Club to move forward.
“We thank Tyson for his contribution to the Cats and celebrate what he has achieved in his football career.”
His confirmed exit comes a day after Collingwood announced it was parting ways with 2023 premiership player and Norm Smith Medalist Bobby Hill, who has also been away from the club for significant chunks of 2026 as he navigated his own personal issues.
