New faces: Although technically not a new face to the Geelong faithful, the return of Gary Ablett Jnr is a huge addition to a side already considered a premiership contender, with the little champ likely to play stints in the midfield and up forward.
Stewart Crameri is the other possible addition to the best 22, the former Essendon and Western Bulldog forward was signed to take the pressure off Tom Hawkins inside forward 50.
On the fringe: Geelong has impressive depth on its list heading into 2018, with Jordan Murdoch, James Pasons, Zach Guthrie, George Horlin-Smith and Wylie Buzza all missing the best 22. Mature-age draftee Tim Kelly is another player who may break into the side, a WAFL star who could make an immediate impact at AFL level.
