Demons great Garry Lyon has made his big call for the 2020 season.
He's not necessarily saying this will happen, but the ex-Melbourne skipper predicts that GWS captain Stephen Coniglio could become the best player in the competition by the end of the season.
Speaking on SEN Breakfast, Lyon said Coniglio has all the tools to to claim the mantle as the AFL's premier star.
"I think Stephen Coniglio will be the best player in the competition by the end of the year," Lyon told SEN Breakfast.
"I think this bloke has got something unbelievably special about him, Stephen Coniglio."
"Not only will he be the best player, he'll be the best captain. The best leader. His influence is profound.
"I think there's something mystical and magical about Stephen Coniglio."
In 2019, Coniglio re-signed with the Giants after turning down giant offers from Victorian clubs.
