Fremantle could be without captain Nat Fyfe for a lengthy stint of time as the two-time Brownlow Medalist suffered a hamstring injury in last night's 13-point loss against Gold Coast.

Fyfe injured himself late into the third term and spent the rest of the game on the sidelines with an ice pack on his right hamstring.

The reigning Brownlow Medalist had 11 disposals and three tackles prior to the injury but could only watch on as the Dockers slumped to a 0-4 starts to the season.

The Dockers face Adelaide in a crucial clash for both clubs next Sunday at Metricon Stadium.
