Fremantle will be without one of their best up-and-coming players in Hayden Young this weekend against Collingwood.

In what is quickly becoming a 'do or die' game for the Dockers to keep their season alive, fresh concerns have come about with players across the group set to miss out on their crucial matchup with the Magpies at the MCG, with AFL.com.au revealing the latest to be ruled out for the game will be Young due to an ankle complaint.

As well as Young missing out, the Dockers' backline will also be without Brennan Cox, who currently has an ankle injury, while their captain Alex Pearce did not participate in training on Wednesday.

It is not a good time for Fremantle to be receiving more injury concerns, with Caleb Serong suspended for one game by the MRO for rough conduct under the grading of careless conduct, medium impact and high contact earlier this week.

The Dockers have options, however, replacing Young will be difficult. Corey Wagner is the favourite to fill in after hitting good form in the WAFL and Mid-Season Draft recruit Ethan Stanley could be considered to make his Fremantle debut. The Dockers could also bring in Tom Emmett to debut, who is expected to have recovered from a concussion before this weekend.

The 14th-placed Fremantle play Collingwood at the MCG on Saturday at 1:45pm local time.
