Geelong, Brisbane, Essendon and the Western Bulldogs are all interested in out-of-contract Giant Xavier O’Halloran, according to Fox Sports' Tom Morris.

Morris reports that clubs believe the 20-year old is gettable and are lining up for his signature.

The Giants are reportedly keen to re-sign the midfielder on a multi-year contract, but he could command more senior opportunities, money and a longer deal elsewhere.

The Western Bulldogs and Essendon have both kept tabs on O’Halloran since he was drafted. The Dogs reportedly considered moving up the draft order in 2018 to acquire him, whose father Jack O’Halloran was a member of the club's 1954 premiership side.

The Bombers are reportedly expanding their list of trade targets every day, with an eye on adding a big-bodied midfielder and potential replacement for free agent Joe Daniher.

The Giants are faced with the challenging task of trying to re-sign a number of first-choice players, including Jeremy Cameron, Zac Williams, Harry Perryman and Jeremy Finlayson amid a shrunken 2021 salary cap.

O’Halloran was drafted by GWS with Pick 22 in the 2018 AFL Draft and has played two senior games for the club.

His two AFL appearances both came this year in Rounds 10 and 12.
