Hugh Goddard is training with Carlton as he aims to make his way on to an AFL list.

Goddard was delisted by St Kilda in August after playing ten games for the club.

The 22-year-old only managed one game in 2018, a round 22 match against Hawthorn.

Goddard has been plagued by injuries during his short career, but signs seem to suggest the defender could be set to join the Blues for 2019.

Carlton is said to have met with Goddard’s management in July and the former Saint is now training with the club ahead of the draft.

Delisted Blue Jed Lamb is also training with Carlton, while Northern Blues trio Sam Fisher, Jesse Palmer and Mason Blakey are also involved in training.
