Former Docker and Bulldog Hayden Crozier has found his new footy home, making tracks to the Glitter Strip to sign with the Surfers Paradise Demons for the 2024 season.
Crozier's career began after Fremantle took the Eastern Ranges product with the 20th pick of the 2011 AFL Draft, but after being delisted by the Bulldogs at the cessation of 2023, the Victorian's days in the big league came to a close after 142 games over 12 seasons.
Throughout his four appearances for Luke Beveridge's side last season, Crozier averaged 13.5 disposals and 3.3 rebounds in each.
But while neither Cockburn or the Whitten Oval will act as home for Crozier next year, the 29-year-old's arrival in the Sunshine State has bet met by much enthusiasm.
"Christmas comes early for the Dees," Surfers Paradise FC announced via Instagram on Monday.
"Surfers Paradise Football Club are thrilled to announce the signing of Hayden Crozier.
"The high-flying rebounding defender can't wait to get in and meet the boys and looks forward to season 2024."
A founding member of football in the Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise compete in the QAFL competition, with the seniors coached by former Saint and Blue Matthew Lappin.
Under the cult hero, the Demons finished the 2023 season in fourth position, eventually falling out of the premiership race after a six-point elimination final loss to Wilston Grange.
Surfers Paradise last tasted senior premiership success in 2019.
