Former Geelong forward Bill Brownless says former teammate Paul Brown should make a full recovery after being king hit on the weekend, despite suffering a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain.

Brownless told Triple M Radio that when Brown woke, he had no recollection of the incident.

“The main thing here is that he is going to be okay,” Brownless said.

“He’s conscious, he woke up, he’s got no idea what happened. He’s got a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain.”

An 18-year-old man has been charged with intentionally causing injury as well as several other assault related charges.
