Pearcedale Football Club in the Nepean Football League in Victoria has announced two high profile recruits for the opening rounds of the season.

Former West Coast Eagle Daniel Kerr will line-up for Pearcedale in the club's round one match against Devon Meadows on April 8, while Sydney premiership captain Barry Hall will pull on the boots for the side in round two.

“It’s good for the club,” Pearcedale coach Leigh Stewart said.

“There’s a lot of young kids down there and a lot of locals. I don’t think they’ve had anything like this for a few years so they are keen as mustard.”

It will not be the only appearance Kerr makes at local level in 2017, with the premiership player set to travel around New South wales, Tasmania and Victoria throughout the year to play one-off matches. He is currently booked in to play 14 games.
