The Footy Show's ratings have dropped yet again, with Wednesday night's episode only managing to lure in just 85,000 viewers across Melbourne.

The new look panel, which includes Dylan Alcott, Neroli Meadows and Anthony 'Lehmo' Lehmann, has failed to gain the viewing numbers of yesteryear which made The Footy Show a household name.

Perhaps most alarming was the significant drop-off in viewers the show received during the episode.

While beginning at 146,000 viewers from the lead-in of the program, it managed to fall a staggering 91,000 over the course of the show, resulting in just 55,000 viewers remaining over the course of the next hour.

The disappointing news for Channel Nine follows poor showings from the iconic program in recent weeks.

After generating 193,000 viewers in the first show of the year, the former must-watch has seen a dramatic decline in the coming weeks, only managing to garner 92,000 last week.

Meanwhile the Front Bar managed to record higher numbers yet again, drawing in 263,000 viewers across Melbourne last night, the same as last week.

The trio of Andy Maher, Sam Pang and Mick Molloy continue to win the ratings battle, amassing 509,000 viewers nationally, compared to the Footy Show's 185,000.
