St Kilda is a club that has publicly stated it is after ready-made talent and the Saints certainly aren't concerned with putting noses out of joint while they do it.

The bayside club was the talk of the town last trade period, snaring the likes of Jack Silvagni and Tom De Koning from Carlton, Sam Flanders from Gold Coast and Liam Ryan from West Coast.

But who will the Saints target this off-season?

The biggest name on the radar of the Saints is Lachie Neale.

St Kilda is eager to bolster its engine room with star power to partner the likes of Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, Darcy Wilson, Max Hall and Marcus Windhager.

The addition of a two-time Brownlow Medallist and potentially a three-time premiership player clearly does that.

Neale, despite being 33, is showing no signs of slowing down and has been dominant for Brisbane this year.

His relationship with St Kilda coach Ross Lyon could also help encourage Neale to choose the Saints over the likes of powerhouse Collingwood.

St Kilda wouldn't have to give up any trade capital to secure Neale as he is an unrestricted free agent, so all it would take is digging deep into its war chest to compensate him.

A task that might be difficult after already agreeing to eye-watering contracts for the likes of NAS, De Koning and Mattaes Phillipou.
