Two ex-AFL players are set to come face-to-face in their local footy debuts, with Majak Daw and Matthew Kreuzer set to lace up the boots in the Northen Football League Division 1 this Saturday.

Kreuzer, who played 189 games for Carlton across his career, will make his debut for Greensborough in the highly anticipated clash against North Heidelberg.

The 33-year-old played his last match in Round 1, 2020 for the Blues after 13 years in the competition, now set to finally make his local footy debut after injury setbacks throughout the year.

Former North Melbourne and Melbourne player Daw will line up for the Bulldogs after announcing his retirement from senior footy last month.

Daw played 54 AFL games since making his debut in 2011 and briefly linked up with North Heidelberg before signing with the Demons in 2021.

Both Kreuzer and Daw are huge inclusions for the match, with the 5th placed Greensborough keen to lock up a top five spot, their opponents however, are seeking a win to keep them in touch with a finals campaign.

The match, billed as an elimination final-like affair, will take place at 2:10PM (AEST) at Greensborough War Memorial Park.
