All 18 clubs have received the final list of nominations for the 2020 AFL national draft, with around 1018 players nominated within the list, including former AFL players seeking new homes, top NAB League prospects, state league stars, and suburban and country players, perĀ The Herald Sun.

There are a number of players who will be seeking another chance at AFL level through the draft pathway, including former number 1 pick, Patrick McCartin, who has been linked with Sydney to join his brother Tom.

24-year old and 2014 former top-10 pick Paul Ahern will be another hoping to be selected in the draft and finding a new home after an inconsistent start to his AFL career.

Darren Minchington (Hawthorn), Derek Eggmolesse-Smith (Richmond), Mason Wood (North Melbourne) Matthew Scharenberg (Collingwood), who has had a career riddled with injury, will all also be hoping for another AFL lifeline.

Dylan Clarke (Essendon) andĀ Martin Gleeson (Essendon) will also be hoping for another chance at AFL level.
