West Coast would be open to trading for Collingwood forward Alex Fasolo if the Pie requests a move back to Western Australia at season's end.

Fasolo is currently contracted until the end of the 2018 season, but Eagles football manager Craig Vozzo said the club would certainly consider a player of Fasolo's ilk should he become available.

The 25-year-old, who battled depression during the middle of the season, played 19 games in 2017, and kicked 29 goals while averaging 13.5 disposals and 5.5 marks per game.

"Alex is a really good player. He obviously plays forward and that's an area we're looking to improve," Vozzo told 6PR radio.

"I think he's a contracted player, though, but if he was someone who became available we'd definitely need to consider it seriously."

Following the retirements of Jonathan Giles, Sam Mitchell, Drew Petrie, Sam Butler and Matthew Priddis this season, the Eagles have spots available in their side, and Fasolo could be the player to fill that void.

He would slot into a forward line boasting the likes of Josh Kennedy and Jack Darling, with small forward Mark LeCras at the club for another season after signing a one-year deal last week.

Although five players hung up the boots this season, West Coast are still looking to rid their list of a few more names, with forward Josh Hill one of a number of Eagles whose future might lie outside the club.

"Josh Hill, Tom Lamb and Sharrod (Wellingham), they'll be decisions we'll be sitting on until we get through the trade period to work out exactly where we sit," Vozzo said.

"They might look at their options as well, but we'll see how that all pans out."

The football manager also said the Eagles were keen to add midfield depth to their list, and would be willing to trade their first round selection (pick 13) for the right player.

"We're always looking at improving our list," Vozzo said.

"Obviously we'd love another A-grade midfielder – they're very difficult to get – and a small forward as well.

"If we thought we could get the right player we'd look at the best way we could to achieve that for our footy club."
