GWS will receive no compensation for the departure of Jacob Wehr, who joined Port Adelaide on Monday.
The AFL assessed the compensation and found that the Giants would not receive any.
Wehr was drafted in 2020 by the Giants as a mature-age recruit, but was delisted by the club and re-listed.
The Woodville-West Torrens product played 39 games, including a career-best 15 matches in 2025.

"We are pleased that Jacob has chosen to continue his AFL career at Port Adelaide," Cripps said.
"At 27 years old, he will provide experience and depth to our talented midfield group.
"Jacob will be a great culture fit who will complement our existing list well."
