Melbourne has secured its second player of the trade period, signing Fremantle youngster Harley Balic.
The Dees have sent pick No.66 to the Dockers in return for the 20-year-old midfielder.
Balic, recruited from the Sandringham Dragons with pick No. 38 in the 2015 National Draft, battled a persistent wrist injury for much of 2016, before twice being granted leave by the club this season due to personal reasons.
He made his debut in round three this season, playing four games before his first leave of absence.
Balic averaged 13 disposals, three tackles and three marks in his four games this season.
He requested a trade home to Victoria at the end of the season.
