Western Bulldogs pair Bonnie Toogood and Libby Birch have been named as the NAB AFL Women’s Rising Star nominees following stellar performances in round two.

Toogood, selected with the 11th pick in the 2017 AFLW rookie draft, showcased her exceptional foot skills in the Dogs 11-point win over Brisbane on Sunday, with the netball convert grabbing 10 disposals (80% efficiency) in the game.

Birch, meanwhile, put in a team-inspiring defensive performance on Lions star forward Kaitlyn Ashmore, holding her to just four touches while picking up six of her own (all contested) in a masterful display.
