Fremantle have made a late change for Saturday's clash with Sydney at Optus Stadium.

Stephen Hill has come out of the side with a quad injury, with defender Ethan Hughes replacing him.

Hughes was originally omitted from the team following his side's 31-point loss to Hawthorn last week, but now retains his place in the 22.

Youngster Jason Carter replaces Hughes on the emergency list.

The Bulldogs have also made a late change to their squad for Sunday's clash with St Kilda at Marvel Stadium.

Ed Richards has withdrawn from the line-up, with Will Hayes replacing him in the 26-player squad.

The Bulldogs will finalise their 22 at 5pm.
