Recently delisted Fremantle tall Odin Jones has returned to his former WAFL club West Perth after his pair of seasons with the Dockers.

Jones was drafted to Cockburn from the Falcons in 2023 as a rookie selection, with the 197cm key forward going on to play 11 games for Fremantle's WAFL affiliate Peel Thunder in his debut season across the senior and reserve levels.

A freak pre-season injury that left Jones requiring spinal surgery after fracturing vertebrae saw the young Docker miss the entire 2025 season, with Fremantle deciding to delist Jones at the end of that campaign.

The decision has seen the Joondalup Kinross junior return to West Perth as he continues his recovery, with Jones setting his sights on returning to the field with the Falcons.

"Odin Jones is back for 2026," a club post read.

"Drafted in 2023 to the Dockers, spent 2 seasons with them developing his craft and showcasing just how physical and impactful he can be.

"Our club is excited to have him back and to support him through his rehabilitation journey so he can return to be one of the competitions premier, competitive ‘big men' for all to admire.

"Welcome home Wiz' - we're so happy to have you come home."

The signing of Jones adds to a handful of off-season additions for the Falcons, who have welcomed the return of Noah Pegoraro from Mildura as well as the acquisitions of Darcy Hobbs from Terang Mortlake in Victoria's Hampden competition and Chad Mulvogue from Collingwood's VFL program.

West Perth managed to finish seventh in the WAFL this year, claiming six wins from their 18 home and away fixtures.
