Former Western Bulldogs utility Cody Raak has made the move to South Australia, signing with SANFL club North Adelaide for the 2024 season.

Raak becomes the Roosters' second headline signing for next year, with the club having added former Adelaide-listed forward Tariek Newchurch last week.

The 21-year-old joined the Western Bulldogs as a product of the club's Next Generation Academy as a pre-selected rookie addition.

Raak will arrive at Prospect Oval after two seasons with the Bulldogs, where he wouldn't appear at AFL level and would amass 40 appearances in the VFL for Footscray.

The forward-defender swingman averaged 11.9 disposals and 4.3 marks per game from his 20 games in the blue, white and red in 2023.

After not being offered a new deal with the Bulldogs for 2024, Raak has decided to sign with North Adelaide for next season.

"Very excited to be joining the Roosters in 2024," Raak said in a club statement.

"Keen to meet everyone and get stuck into training. This is a great opportunity for my football, and I hope we can have team success in the future."

North Adelaide recorded eight wins and 10 losses in 2023 to finish sixth on the ladder and one point away from the top five.
