We're into the final few days of the 2022 AFL Trade Period, with the window to shut at 7:30pm (AEDT) on Wednesday, October 12.

Within the final three days of the exchange period, clubs will be ramping up their discussions with players, managers and other clubs to secure deals - whether that be gaining or losing personnel.

Heading into Monday's business, 27 players are seen to be a chance to find a new club, however a portion of those players could see moves fall through.

Here's the state of play for the trade period, with deals either DONE, DAWNING or DOUBTFUL as we close in on Wednesday's deadline.

Done

Dawningย

Jacob Hopper to Richmond

AFL Tipping

JOIN NOW!

Looms likely another player is needed to be involved in this deal, with Richmond ruckman Ivan Soldo a strong chance to be sent north after meeting with the Giants.

The Tigers are also tipped to package Pick 31 and their future fist-round selection, along with Soldo or someone else, to secure Hopper.

Jason Horne-Francis to Port Adelaide

The young Roos star could remain at Arden Street for another year, but the Power will be moving quickly to get a deal done.

A move is sure to centre around Pick 8 and Port Adelaide's future first-round selection, but a greater package is needed to please the Roos.

The Power could search within their own four walls to add a player into the mix, while a third club may be required to broker a deal.

Junior Rioli to Port Adelaide

The premiership Eagle could be part of the Jason Horne-Francis deal, with West Coast reported to be part of discussions around a deal that would see Pick 2 land at North Melbourne and Rioli secure his desired move to Port Adelaide.

But the details of that deal are difficult to manoeuvre, with Rioli perhaps more likely to secure his move east in a separate deal.

Luke Jackson to Fremantle

The wantaway Demon comes with a hefty price for the Dockers, as Melbourne call for two early selections that are of greater value than Fremantle's current offer of Pick 13 and their future selection.

The situation means the Dockers may need to get creative and secure a top 10 selection for this year's draft, with the Suns or GWS among the clubs that may be able to help out.

Jeremy Sharp to Fremantle

While neither club has confirmed Sharp's request to head west, the Suns flanker is expected to land a move to the Dockers despite Josh Corbett's deal getting done last week.

It was suggested the two Suns players could come as a package, however Gold Coast and Fremantle are now needing to rekindle discussions to see Sharp become a Docker.

Rory Lobb to the Western Bulldogs

Fremantle have continued to stand their ground when it comes to Rory Lobb and his desire to join the Western Bulldogs this year, despite being contracted for 2023.

7 Newsย have suggested the Dockers are hopeful of a pick between 15-22, with the Dogs' offer of Pick 30 turned down.

Brayden Fiorini to Collingwood

A deal that looks likely to land, the Suns are open to parting ways with the Greensborough product given his reported salary of $600,000 for next season.

That fee is set to be spread across multiple years with the Magpies, who will either send a later selection to Gold Coast or take part in a pick swap as part of the deal.

Billy Frampton to Collingwood

Another one for the Pies, with a late selection all that needs to finalise this move. However, Collingwood may be needing to shuffle some selections around to land not only Frampton but other targets.

Should the Crows request a future selection, it may delay some negotiations as Collingwood may be limited in the 2023 picks they can move on.

Tom Mitchell to Collingwood

One that hasn't gained great substance, but all reports suggest the Brownlow Medal winner will find his way to Olympic Park this off-season.

A fair trade would be for a first-round selection, which the Pies may gain from talks with either Melbourne or Geelong for Brodie Grundy and Ollie Henry respectively.

Brodie Grundy to Melbourne

This one may hinge on Luke Jackson finding his way to Fremantle before getting done, with the Demons needing to pocket an early enough selection to satisfy Collingwood.

Once Jackson heads west, can expect this move to be sorted soon after.

Ollie Henry to Geelong

Plenty of back and forth in this one, with the Cats deciding to part with Pick 18 to land Tanner Bruhn and therefore limiting their draft hand.

They'll gain Pick 7 from the Suns, but will be keen to take that to the draft. Pies rightfully asking for an early selection, but Pick 25 could get this done with a later pick swap that works in favour of the Magpies.

Toby Bedford to GWS

Pick 44 looms as a fitting selection for the fringe forward, but there's no doubt the Demons will be wanting more.

The Giants' next best selection falls at 19th overall - a selection perhaps too high for Bedord. A future third-round selection could be on the cards should Pick 44 fail to get this one over the line.

Jack Bowes/Pick 7 to Geelong

The Cats raised eyebrows on Friday when they parted with their future second-round selection in a pick swap with Brisbane, meaning that selection won't be part of a trade with Gold Coast to land Bowes.

The AFL are understood to have set a requirement for that selection or greater to be part of a deal for Bowes and Pick 7, so we'll see how the Cats get creative to secure this one.

Aaron Francis to Sydneyย

The out-of-favour Bombers swingman will head north to Bondi for greater opportunities, most likely as a defender.

Will likely take a later selection to get this one done. Swans' Pick 75 a possibility with other picks moving, or a late future selection.

Izak Rankine to Adelaide

This one shapes around Pick 5, with later selection likely changing hands to further please the Suns.

Could be done as early as Monday, with reports having listed this one as being on the brink since Thursday.

Jack Gunston to Brisbane

The Lions and Hawks will enter a trade for Gunston as opposed to free agency so Brisbane's Dan McStay compensation isn't watered down.

After trading with Geelong, the Lions boast a rich hand of selections for this year and next, and are now in a position to secure Gunston without hampering their chances of securing father-son prospects Will Ashcroft and Jaspa Fletcher.

Josh Dunkley to Brisbane

Brisbane haven't made this one easy on the Bulldogs, who have requested a pair of first-round selections.

While the Lions hold their future first, their earliest selection for 2022 coms at Pick 21 - a selection that is likely to be needed to secure the aforementioned Ashcroft and/or Fletcher.

This one could drag out until the end of the deadline, but don't expect Dunkley to be pushed toward the Pre-Season Draft.

Sam Weideman to Essendon

A late bloomer this one, with the Bombers looking to move a future third-round selection to secure the Demons forward.

Another one that could get done early into the week, with Weideman's move to Essendon potentially sparking a chain reaction of trades.

Doubtfulย

Martin Frederickย

Was floated as a potential target for several clubs, including West Coast, however little has been raised for the Port Adelaide defender.

Is off-contract, meaning the Power could hand Frederick a lifeline or he could find himself at a new club through delisted free agency.

Hunter Clark

Recent reports fromย SENย suggest Clark is seen as a required piece of Brett Ratten's system despite being floated as a trade target for North Melbourne.

Given St Kilda's lack of acquisitions, their reliance on Clark hasn't changed.

Adam Tomlinson

Is still on the lookout for a new home as he searches for greater opportunities. His management has flagged Tomlinson will be happy to remain at the Demons, but are hoping for some interest from elsewhere.

No suitors have emerged, likely meaning Tomlinson remains in the red and blue.

Lloyd Meek

The Dockers may be waiting until Luke Jackson arrives, but even then they'll have a decision to make on whether they part ways with Meek, Rory Lobb, or both of their talls.

While Jackson will add plenty to Justin Longmuir's list, seeing Meek and Lobb depart would heavily impact their ruck stocks.

Esava Ratugolea

The Cats have remained strong in their stance on the contracted tall, who has a desire to move to Port Adelaide this off-season.

With the Cats needing to sort deals for Ollie Henry and Jack Bowes, gaining a future selection from the Power might help them secure the pair of moves, but don't bank on it.

Matt Crouch

Is contracted and yet to have a suitor named. The Crows have stated he'll likely stay and see out the final year of his deal.

Hard to see anyone moving for the 2017 All-Australian given the change in tune for contested ball winners of Crouch's stature.

Fischer McAsey

Was in talks about leaving Adelaide but little has been said of a possible move to Victoria.

Carlton have been linked, but the Blues aren't looking to add to their personnel, while the Crows believe McAsey will be at West Lakes in 2023.

Caleb Poulter

Another player off-contract that could still find a home after the trade period ends.

Linked to both Adelaide and Gold Coast, who could secure Poulter through the Pre-Season Draft or as a delisted free agent should a deal with Collingwood fail to arise.

Deven Robertson

The Lions have stated Robertson is a required player and won't be departing the club this off-season.

Had gained reported interest from West Coast as part of a possible move back home to help Brisbane secure Josh Dunkley from the Bulldogs.
