Adelaide has reportedly tabled "a massive offer" to off-contract St Kilda young gun Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, however the Crows aren't viewed as the favourites to secure the emerging defender's signature.

Wanganeen-Milera is entering his fourth season with the Saints and will see his second deal with the Moorabbin club come to an end at the cessation of the coming campaign, with the South Australian having tallied 63 games in his short time in the red, white and black.

A player named in the past two 22under22 sides, the Glenelg junior is arguably St Kilda's No.1 list priority despite the club's aggressive player movement approach that has seen them tied to big-name and costly free agents.

While the Saints plan to lure stars to Ross Lyon's cause, Wanganeen-Milera too is on the radar of rivals as he weighs up his future.

The 22-year-old isn't expected to make a call on his future in the early periods of the 2025 season, withย AFL.com.au'sย Cal Twomey revealing both the Crows and Power have interest in the SA local.

Adelaide has reportedly offered a long-term deal to Wanganeen-Milera, however, the Power have been named as the stronger suitor.

"I can tell you Adelaide, in my understanding, has tabled a massive offer to get Wanganeen-Milera back home," Twomey said on Gettable.ย

"I believe it's a 'lifer' - the type of deal that is a big, big one. Up to eight years plus. Last year the Crows had a 10-year deal on the table for Errol Gulden at the same stage of his career.

"Wanganeen-Milera hasn't been in a rush to re-sign. I still have Port as the favourite if he was to move back to South Australia. He's really tight with Jason Horne-Francis and Jase Burgoyne.

"This isn't going to be a money thing. St Kilda are going to be able to match anything. He's happy at St Kilda, he likes St Kilda, he's a big part of Ross Lyon's direction and future there."

Speaking to media on Thursday, Crows coach Matthew Nicks was questioned on the club's potential interest in Wanganeen-Milera.

While the Adelaide coach wasn't keen to discuss a rival's off-contract asset, he was glowing of the young Saint in his assessment.

"We don't talk about players from other clubs," Nicks said.

"He's a fantastic player. He's one of those guys who, when you talk about some of their really high-end talent, stands out in the league."

The Saints have managed a pre-season signing spree on the eve of their 2025 campaign, locking in Mitch Owens, Angus Hastie, Hugo Garcia, Hunter Clark and Jack Higgins.

The club still has a long list of players unsigned for 2026, with Marcus Windhager, Liam Stocker, Dougal Howard, Zak Jones, Arie Schoenmaker and Jimmy Webster among those who join Wanganeen-Milera in being off-contract.
