Adelaide has announced several jumper-number changes for the 2020 season.

19-year-old Chayce Jones, the Crows' highest draft pick since 2004, will inherit the No. 1 guernsey vacated by Crow-turned-Sun Hugh Greenwood, after his impressive eight-game, three-goal debut season wearing No. 20.

Tyson Stengle will make the switch from No. 17 to the No. 18 formerly worn by champion small forward Eddie Betts.

Meanwhile, untested backman Will Hamill, who averaged 11 disposals per game in 20 SANFL appearances in his first year in Adelaide, will move to the newly-available No. 17, while new Crow Billy Frampton will wear the No. 22, which became available after Andy Otten's retirement.

Rounding out the confirmed changes, pressure forward Lachlan Murphy has made the change from No. 44 to the No. 4 taking over from Josh Jenkins.

Murphy said he was torn between the two numbers.

“Four is my favourite number,” Murphy told the club's website.

“When JJ left, I thought ‘four has become available’... but 44 has two of them.”

Murphy has booted 31 goals in 32 games over his two AFL seasons.
