The Crows confirmed in a statement on Friday that the key forward would be unleashed this weekend.

Adelaide coach Matthew Nicks announced the decision to the players at a team meeting at the club on Friday morning.

The 18-year old was drafted by the Crows out of West Adelaide with the second overall selection in the 2020 AFL draft ahead of North Melbourne's Will Phillips and Sydney's Logan McDonald.

He will be the Crows' fourth debutant in 2021, joining James Rowe, Sam Berry and Nick Murray.

Thiltorpe impressed over the pre-season, most prolifically with a four-goal performance in a SANFL trial clash against Port Adelaide.

For those fantasy players in the house, Thiltorpe has forward status and sets you back $202,800 in SuperCoach (BE 40) and $268,000 in AFL Fantasy (BE 39).

Sunday's official team line-ups will be announced on Saturday night at 6.20pm (all times AEST).

The Hawks will host the Crows at UTAS Stadium on Sunday at 12.30pm.
