Adelaide midfielder Jarryd Lyons could be forced to look for a new home at season's end, with negotiations between the 24-year-old and the club stalling, according to The Advertiser.

Lyons is out of contract at the end of the year and the Crows have thus far been been unable to prepare an offer that Lyons is prepared to accept.

He has not officially requested a trade, however, the inability of the two parties to reach an agreement, plus the competition for spots in Adelaide's midfield are set to make the Victorian hot property come trade time.

Adelaide's recent re-signings of Josh Jenkins and Brad Crouch have added extra pressure to their salary cap, making it difficult for the Crows to meet Lyons' demands.

Lyons was selected with pick No.61 in the 2010 National Draft and has played 53 games for the Crows, including 18 this season.

He has averaged 21.7 disposals, 3.6 marks and 4.6 tackles in 2016.
