Collingwood forward Ollie Henry is understood to have confirmed his intentions to join premiers Geelong this off-season.
Henry has long been linked to the Cats in a move that would see the promising young forward join his brother Jack back in his home region of Geelong.
The incoming arrival of Lions free agent Dan McStay would only push Henry further back in Craig McRae's forward line pecking order, which is already led by Ash Johnson and Brody Mihocek.
Henry now looks set on a move to Geelong if the Cats and Magpies can agree to a trade, with News Corp reporting the 20-year-old is seeking a move to the Hoops.
Geelong are likely to be required to hand over a first-round selection for Henry given he joined Collingwood in 2020 as a top 20 pick.
Geelong currently hold picks 18, 37, 47, 52, 55, 61 and 91 for this year's draft, along with their future selection for 2023.
Henry will look to slot into a role beside star pair Jeremy Cameron and Tom Hawkins at Kardinia Park, with the latter nearing the end of his career.
He has played 25 games for Collingwood in two seasons with the club, booting 28 goals.
