Injury-prone swingman Ben Reid is set to come into Collingwood's side for Saturday's preliminary final clash against GWS, according to The Herald Sun.

Collingwood has two forced changes for the grand final decider, with Jordan De Goey (hamstring) and Levi Greenwood (ACL) sidelined.

And despite having not played since round 15 and only managing 13 senior appearances over the last two years, the 30-year old Reid is the favourite to get the call up to provide a marking target up forward.

Travis Varcoe or James Aish are expected to come in for Greenwood.

Magpies coach Nathan Buckley said they would likely opt for the same balance to the side that defeated Geelong a fortnight ago.

"We’ve got a couple of forced changes with Jordy and Levi, so we’ve got a couple of blokes that are putting their hand up," Buckley told reporters on Thursday.

"We think we’ll go in with a similarly balanced side to go in the way we want to play."

Collingwood face GWS at the MCG on Saturday at 4:35pm (AEST).
