Collingwood trio Josh Daicos, Brayden Maynard, and Mason Cox are reportedly in doubt to face Melbourne on King's Birthday due to respective illness concerns.

Daicos and Maynard are said to be battling separate bouts of the flu, while Cox has come down with a suspected case of COVID, according to Channel 7's Tom Browne on Friday evening.

The three sickly Magpies will have until Saturday, when Collingwood will hold its main training session, to prove their fitness ahead of Monday afternoon's blockbuster.

For Melbourne, superstar midfielder Clayton Oliver has already been ruled out of the contest due to a nasty infection after he had to be hospitalised.

Collingwood and Melbourne's final teams for the game are set to be announced on Sunday afternoon, with the match scheduled for 3:20 PM AEST on Monday, June 12.
